Pontic–Caspian Steppe grasslands extend across Eastern Europe to Central Asia north of the Black and Caspian Seas. Ukraine sits near its western end This course explores the evolution of the Pontic-Caspian as the Ice Ages ended. It is the western end of the Eurasian Steppe that stretches east to Manchuria. Its temperate climate, with hot summers and cold winters, supports a variety of grasses and shrubs due to its semi-arid conditions. This course also includes the repopulation of the Pontic–Caspian Steppe, this time with the modern humans. In several millennia they became the Yamnyana - the ancient forefathers much of the population Western World.
