July 2, 2026 was the 89th anniversary of Amelia Earhart's mysterious disappearance. Purdue University Research Foundation was scheduled to launch another search on November 5, 2025 and the project was postponed, but renewed efforts are underway. Donors to this search include Eli Lilly, Bendix, Western Electric, BF Goodrich and Goodyear. Her biographies describe her as tomboy, pioneer, homeschooled, women’s rights activist, educator, and even a fashion icon. Join us as we review her life story, accomplishments in the cockpit of her Lockheed 10 Electra aircraft, and uncover new revelations of her disappearance on that fateful July 2, 1937 flight.
