The Tet Offensive was a significant event during the Vietnam War. It was a series of surprise attacks launched by the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces against South Vietnam and U.S. forces in 1968. The offensive took advantage of holiday ceasefires to catch the U.S. and South Vietnamese forces off guard and marked a turning point in the war. This presentation will look at one key event, the assault on Tan Son Nhut Air Base.
