Using The Great Courses (along with select additional materials), this course will cover the Vietnam War from 1968 after the election of Richard Nixon to the formal end of the war in 1975. In addition to the actual prosecution of the war, the course will cover other related subjects, such as the antiwar movement; race, culture and women in the Vietnam War; and casualties, prisoners of war, and those missing in action. As with our first two Vietnam War courses in 2025, we hope it will lead to some thoughtful discussion on a topic that still confounds today.
