With The Great Courses lectures by Prof Mark Ravina, we will look from the fall of Japan to the current political, culture and economics of this world industrial leader. Nearly the size of just California, Prof Ravina describes Japan as “the most foreign, the most exotic place you can go with first-world telecommunications, first-world healthcare and first-world hygiene, true today." as when he first visited decades ago. Those who attend in person will enjoy Japanese food samples. All will be shown photos and memorabilia from post WWII Japanese occupied Okinawa.
