Continuing from Fall 2025 lectures from The Great Courses we will cover The Jungle, Main Street, The Maltese Falcon, The Good Earth, Gone with the Wind, and How to Win Friends and Influence People, we will explore these selections that include banned books, biographies and blockbusters. Each week will be supplemented with facts on the author, historical events, locale and refreshments in the classroom indicative of the book. Join us as we reflect on why each book was so popular and how it shaped America’s culture, norms and values.
