In this course we will view and discuss movies involving the CIA. This course was requested by students who attended the history of the CIA courses earlier this year, but registrants for this course do not have to have attended the earlier CIA classes to attend this one and enjoy it. We will focus more on the CIA and spy aspects of these works and not as much on the acting and filmmaking etc like the Monday afternoon film class does. Popcorn and other goodies will be present. The first movie in the series is Three Days of the Condor starring Robert Redford, Faye Dunaway, Cliff Robertson and Max von Sydow. Second is Argo, which is based on the true story of a hostage rescue attempt during the Iranian Revolution, and stars Ben Affleck, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston. This picture won the 2013 Oscars for Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing.
