When most people think about Florida’s nature, they tend to focus on some combination of manatees, mosquitoes, giant roaches, and gators; and not necessarily in that order. But there is so much more! This course will introduce participants to the real biodiversity of Central Florida through a combination of digital content from CF Citrus Campus Biodiversity Trail (which has documented more than 700-species of animals, plants, and fungi across Citrus County!), story-telling, and group discussion. Besides learning about the rich range of life growing, creeping, and crawling across our local landscape, you’ll also learn how to better seek out and document the nature in your own community.

See SeniorLearners.org for current recommendations about wearing masks in the classroom.
