Join us in viewing and discussing five thought provoking political dramas including Argo which is based on the true story of the rescue of three Americans from Tehran during the US hostage crises in 1979, Fail-Safe starring Henry Fonda is about a technical malfunction sending US planes to drop nuclear weapons on Moscow and the negotiations between the US and Russia to avert war, Election, starring Matthew Broderick and Reese Witherspoon, is a light hearted film about a high school teacher who meets his match in an over achieving student politician, Thirteen Days is based on the Kennedy administrations work to contain the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Wag the Dog is the story of a Hollywood producer and a spin doctors attempts to fabricate a war to cover up a candidates scandal . The film lineup could change due to availability of DVDs
