Game Theory is the mathematical/scientific field that studies how people make strategic decisions in all aspects of life. These are decisions where other people are involved, and part of the process is guessing how they will behave. Scholars often study these human behaviors by devising games which simulate real world activities such as sports, business and politics. Decisions we see in the media quite often appear to be irrational, but are they really? Perhaps game theory can help explain what is going on. This course will use selected lectures from two Great Courses series, Understanding Economics: Game Theory by Professor Jay R. Corrigan, and Games People Play: Game Theory in Life, Business, and Beyond by Professor Scott P. Stevens.
