This course will be a broad look at the mythologies of various first peoples of North, Central, and South America. Particular interest will be paid to the creation stories of the many cultures, with as much bonus material from secondary sources as time permits. Our main source will be the Great Courses lecture series named Great Mythologies of the World, with lectures on the Americas by Professor Grant L. Voth Ph.D.
