This course surveys the physics, technology, processes, organizations, facilities, new towns and people who succeeded in creating the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II. It will also summarize why the Manhattan Project was initiated by German efforts to unleash the energy within the Uranium nucleus.
