In the years just after the official end of World War II the nature of life in Western and Eastern Europe and Japan changed dramatically. At the start of the Cold War both America and the Soviets developed advanced nuclear weapons, using Manhattan Project science and technology. They also enhanced their weapons based on German technology. This course will provide an overview these events.
