The eleventh version of this course will appraise relevant technology and advancing science expected to result in new services or products expected to be available within the next few years. During these sessions we will review new computing products and services and attempt to take the mystery out of quantum computing. We will cover updates on the uses of nanotechnology especially as it impacts medicine and new materials. The likely delivery of more efficient and less costly means of providing energy for consumers will be covered. We will look at new developments of “smart devices” that can be used by homeowner and commuters and examine the likely impacts some products and services on personal finances and the nation’s economy.
