In this class we will explore ways the camera has transformed how people experience the world, see themselves and other people, places and events. We will look at iconic images and explore photographers and their stories. We will look at what lies in the frame and what lies beyond it; we will consider composition, formal analysis, equipment, and the art and technique of editing. Finally, there are interesting stories about the publication of a photo and the legacies it can can leave behind.
