This was the second most beloved book from the PBS Great American Read and it can be considered an example of Southern Gothic or as a bildungsroman. It was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1961. Consider including in your research Harper Lee\'s first draft of it, Go Set a Watchman, and/or enjoy the famous movie with Gregory Peck. You are encouraged to do as much or as little research on the novels/authors as you wish and to bring what you learn to our class. The class size is limited to 12 to allow participation by all its members.
