The topic of Stem Cells is hot in today's medicine. But do you really know what they are - where they come from - and how new techniques and strategies show promise for healing? This presentation is taken from my current book Stem Cells (published by Greenwood Press, 2019). In this session, I will explore the potential use of stem cells in the various systems, heart, lungs, urinary, bones, and muscles, etc. Also, I will caution that the Food and Drug Administration has approved only 15 procedures and that there are scrupulous people who are taken advantage of unapproved procedures. Florida is the capital of clinics that have been cited and closed down. Also, we will talk about stem cells in veterinary medicine - horses, and your pet dog or cat.
