My Science Biography courses will describe aspects of the lives of scientists based on one biography about each that has appealed to me. This is the second course on Galileo based on the biography, Galileo’s Daughter by Dava Sobel. It covers his writing the Dialogue, his Inquisition and his final years. I am also planning courses on the following scientists: Maria Sybilla Merian based on biographies by Kim Todd and Joyce Sidman; E.O. Wilson based on his autobiography; Alexander von Humboldt based on a biography by Andrea Wulf; Richard Feynman based on some of his life as told to Ralph Leighton; and Oliver Sacks based on his autobiography
