Photography is all about light. If there was no light, you would not have a photograph. The word photography derives from Greek, and literally means light drawing. How we control the available light is the basis for all photography. Light in photography sets the mood, creates depth, or highlights a subject; the light around you and how you respond to it can often make or break a photo. All of us are aware that the world around us appears differently depending on the day, the weather, and time of day or year, or if the light you are shooting with is natural or artificial. So, just as the light determines how we see things, it also dictates how our photo will look.

In this course you will learn the characteristics of light and photography and how you can use this to your advantage to bring your photos to life. Also, to have a thorough understanding of your cameras, how white balance settings to improve your photography. Skill Level: Beginner
