In your life you want things done fairly. If one person is treated one way and another arbitrarily, we would scream about justice. That is why procedure and following rules in law make it fair and efficient. These four sessions will consider your procedural rights and why they matter and how they are applied in court and interesting cases. We will investigate the topics of jurisdiction, pleadings, discovery, and decisions about the case. These topics are the foundation for understanding civil procedures in court. This course is based in part on lectures from The Great Courses: Law School for Everyone.
