Our understanding of our world and the universe is increasing exponentially. We now have powerful tools for exploring phenomena that were in the realm of science fiction only a few years ago. In this course we will examine our scientific understanding about what we know and do not know about a number of topics that may become mainstream in a few years. These include: teleportation, time travel, parallel universes, extra-sensory perception, artificial intelligence/singularity, and bionic men, women and pets.
