This course includes the amazing confirmation by modern archeology and science that, what until recently were considered myths about ancient Greek religion and Roman history, were accurate. The course is based primarily on lectures by Professor John Hale of the University of Louisville in The Great Courses - Classical Archaeology of Ancient Greece and Rome. Other sources from The Great Courses and the Internet will be used as supplements to help bring to life the ordinary people of ancient Greece and Rome.
