### Ice Cream Social and Everything You Wanted to Know About Ice Cream and Ice Cream Memorabilia

Jim Phillips has the largest collection of ice cream memorabilia in the state. He will bring some of it for us to view and learn more about his hobby. Thom Thomas is a classically trained chef, in addition to being an professional graphic artist. His first job out of culinary school was designing ice cream for a gourmet ice cream company. He will tell us about how he designed new ice cream flavors and the ins and outs of making ice cream commercially. They will make several different flavors of ice cream for us to try. Thom will also demonstrate making a sorbet during the class. What could be more fun at the beginning of the dog days of August than an Ice Cream Social with your Senior Learner friends?
