This course focuses on the archaeological evidence of the Viking settlements in Northern England, which eventually led to partitioning England ethnically along a north-south partition, which pre-dated the Roman Conquest. England east of this line was governed by Dane Law. This course is the ninth in a series of courses about how archaeology and genetics provide our best understanding of Ancient Britain Before the Middle Ages.
