### Modern Times VIII: Emerging Technologies in the 21st Century * Burton Stephens * Wednesday * 21-mar-18 to 25-apr-18 * 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM * $30.00 This is the eighth in a series of classes on the new technologies in the 21st century. We examine current and projected technologies expected to have a profound influence on our our world, our society and individuals in the near future. We look at how several types of technologies have evolved and how they are expected to change in the next few decades. In this edition of the course we will review: (1) smart home technologies, (2) augmented and virtual reality, (3) breakthroughs in health and medicine, (4) methods for improving cognitive functioning, (5) The promise of drone technologies and (6) advances in meteorology.
