FDR and the Holocaust: for a long time historians have criticized Franklin D. Roosevelt for not doing enough to save the European Jews from being systematically murdered by the Nazis during WWII. What did FDR do? What did he not do? What could he have done? The course will cover the key war years 1941-1945 when Roosevelt, allied with Winston Churchill and Josef Stalin, fought a multi-front war to defeat Adolf Hitler and the world-wide menace of National Socialism (the Nazis).
