Great Decisions is America's largest civic-education program on the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year. Each class will consist of an overview of the topic, the showing of a video of a discussion by experts, and discussion. A handout of the instructor’s PowerPoint slides will be emailed in advance. Those who want printed copies can pay $10 for all 8 classes. Participants are encouraged to purchase for about $25 at www.greatdecisions.org or by phone (800) 477-5836) the 2017 Great Decision Briefing Book (limited copies are available from the instructor) and read the designated chapter before class. 2017 Great Decisions Topics: The Future of Europe, Trade and Politics, Conflict in the South China Sea, Saudi Arabia in Transition, U.S. Foreign Policy and Petroleum, Latin America's Political Pendulum, Prospects for Afghanistan and Pakistan, and Nuclear Security.
